England Fencing

AGM 2008

 

The Regional Annual Meeting was held on Saturday November 1^st 2008.

 

Club reports of local activities, fencers’ achievements etc. were received.

 

The appointment of Committee members was confirmed, including initial appointments to a management support group to help direct the work of the Regional Development Officer (Designate) who discussed her proposals for her new role with the members present, and set out her intention to contact all clubs in the Region at an early stage in her appointment.

 

Congratulations were offered to Carole Seheult, who retired as Chairman during the past year, on the award of a Bronze Medal by England Fencing for Services to Fencing

 

A number of supporting roles were not formally filled and the committee is keen to co-opt additional members who can assist in secretarial or competition organising functions.
