· How to Find the Fencing Centre The fencing centre is based in the University sports hall (Graham Sports Centre, Maiden Castle) half a mile to the south of Durham on the Bowburn Road When the Sports centre is unavailable, sessions may be relocated to Gilesgate Sports college or West Gym |

The Fencing Centre operates with support from Durham University and aims to provide a resource for fencers in the Northern parts of the UK who wish to fence and train with other competitive fencers as an extension of local club fencing. Fencers are expected to join or be active members of fencing clubs, Junior beginners will be encouraged to progress to competitions and take up club membership when ready
